What is a powered add on?
A powered add-on for a wheelchair is a device that can be attached to a manual wheelchair to provide powered mobility. It's designed to assist individuals who may have difficulty propelling a manual wheelchair on their own due to physical limitations.
There are several types of powered add-ons available:
Power Assist Wheels
These are motorized wheels that can be attached to a manual wheelchair. They provide an extra boost of power when propelling the chair, making it easier for the user to maneuver uphill, over uneven terrain, or for extended distances.
Power Units with Joystick Controls
